Rafia B.

Rafia B. is an experienced professional in biostatistics and data management, currently serving as Therapeutic Area Head at Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Inc. since April 2019, overseeing clinical drug development across various therapeutic areas, including a key role in the development of the COVID-19 therapeutic REGEN-COV. Prior experience includes leadership positions at Celgene/Bristol-Myers Squibb, where Rafia directed biostatistics for oncology drug programs, and at Novartis as Associate Director, focusing on anti-IL17 biologic drugs. Rafia has also held academic roles as an Assistant Professor at UT Southwestern and regulatory positions at the FDA. Rafia holds a Ph.D. in Statistics from the University of Delaware and additional degrees from Penn State University and the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay.
