William Bryan Baker has a long and varied work experience. William Bryan began their career in 2004 as a Junior Naval Architect at Farr Yacht Design, where they significantly contributed to hull form optimization. In 2012, they moved to Exa Corporation as an Aerodynamics Engineer, where they enhanced cab and trailer aerodynamics to meet EPA guidelines. In 2013, they joined Applied Physical Sciences Corp (APS) as a Senior Engineer, aiding in the design, development, and implementation of various unsteady hydrodynamics codes. In 2014, they joined Oracle Team USA as a VPP Lead, Fluid Dynamicist and Designer, leading the development of their Velocity Prediction Program (VPP). From 2017 to 2018, they worked as a VP Lead - Fluid Dynamics at Baker Performance Yacht Design, consulting on various high performance yacht design projects. Finally, in 2021, they joined REGENT as a Design Lead.

William Bryan Baker attended the University of Michigan College of Engineering from 2002 to 2004, where they earned a degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering with a focus on Fluid Dynamics and Yacht Design. Before that, they earned a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Physics/Applied Physics from the College of Charleston between 1999 and 2002.
