Jared Bee

Jared Bee has extensive work experience in the biopharmaceutical industry. Jared joined REGENXBIO Inc. in 2019 as the Head of Formulation and Drug Product Development. In this role, Jared leads a team responsible for designing and executing formulation screening, development, and characterization studies for gene delivery products. Jared also oversees the transfer of drug product process steps to external contractors.

Prior to their role at REGENXBIO Inc., Jared worked at MacroGenics, Inc. from 2017 to 2019 as the Analytical Method Development and Characterization Group Leader. During their time there, they managed a team of 7 and oversaw the development, qualification, and transfer of analytical methods for multiple biopharmaceutical products. Jared also played a key role in generating data for various stages of drug development and wrote and reviewed various documents and reports.

From 2009 to 2017, Jared worked at MedImmune where they held various roles including Analytical Development Biophysics and Particle Analysis Group Leader and Formulation and Drug Product Development Scientist. In these positions, they contributed to the authoring and review of key regulatory documents, managed teams responsible for performing analytical testing and formulation development, and developed various drug presentations.

Before entering the industry, Jared gained research and teaching experience as a PhD Student and Teaching/Research Assistant at the University of Colorado Boulder from 2005 to 2009. Jared began their career as an Analytical Chemist at Sandoz from 2003 to 2005.

Overall, Jared Bee has a strong background in formulation and drug product development, analytical method development, and regulatory documentation within the biopharmaceutical industry.

Jared Bee holds a PhD in Chemical and Biological Engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder and a First Class M.Chem. (Hons) degree in Chemistry from the University of Oxford.
