Volker Otten

Volker Otten is a Senior Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon and the Head of the Arthroplasty Section at Umeå University Hospital, a position held since 2019. They previously served as a specialistläkare focusing on hip arthroplasty surgery at Region Västerbotten from 2009 to 2012. Otten began their medical journey as AT-läkare and ST-läkare at Sollefteå Sjukhus from 2002 to 2007. They earned their medical degree at Christian Albrecht Universität zu Kiel between 1994 and 2001, following their Abitur at Gymnasium Ernestinum Celle from 1984 to 1993.
