Megan Stephens is the Senior Vice President and Assistant General Counsel for the Consumer Banking Group at Regions Bank, where they focus on financial services litigation and have defended financial institutions in various courts and arbitrations. Previously, they served as Corporate Legal Counsel at BBVA in the USA and as a Litigation Attorney at Burr & Forman LLP. Megan earned a J.D., magna cum laude, from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University and a B.A., cum laude, from the College of Charleston, where they were active in trial advocacy and received multiple honors. Active in professional organizations, Megan has participated on the Executive Board of the Young Lawyers Section of the Birmingham Bar Association and was recognized as a "Rising Star" by B-Metro Magazine in 2013. Outside of their legal career, Megan enjoys competing in horse shows and participating in community races, while spending time with family, friends, and their rescue dog, Gabe.
