Rob Powers

Adjunct Faculty

Rob Powers, Ed.D., currently serves as a Policy Manager at the Massachusetts Executive Office of Education and as Adjunct Faculty at Regis College, teaching courses on social studies methods and secondary education. Additionally, Rob is a Lecturer at the UVA School of Education and Human Development. Previously, Rob held the position of K-12 Social Studies Coordinator at Plymouth Public Schools and contributed as a member of the Northeast & Islands Regional Advisory Committee for the U.S. Department of Education. Rob's background includes teaching social studies at Apponequet Regional High School and participation as a Teaching Policy Fellow with NEA / Teach Plus. Earlier career roles involved performing and managing operations for The Hyannis Sound. Rob powers holds a Doctor of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Virginia, a Master’s in Teaching History from Bridgewater State University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Social Science from Plymouth State University.
