James Annesley has worked in various companies and positions throughout their career. At REGnosys, they currently hold the role of Senior Engineer since June 2020. Lastly, they worked as a Placement Student at Rutherford Appleton Laboratory from 2000 to 2001.

James Annesley began their education in 1998 at Kingston University, where they completed a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computer Software Engineering in 2002. Afterward, they pursued further studies at Kingston University, obtaining a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Computer Science from 2004 to 2008. In 2009, they attended the Chartered Management Institute, earning a Level 5 degree in Leadership and Management, completing their education in 2011.
