Sean Parshad

Sean Parshad has a diverse work experience spanning from 2013 to present. Sean began their career as a Fitness Specialist at Stanford University and also worked as a Math/Science Teacher at Lydian Academy. In 2013, they were a Chess Instructor at Yes4Chess and later joined Facebook as a Speech and Audio Analyst. In 2014, Sean founded and served as the CEO of CrackingCam, a social navigation app. Sean pitched the app at the Miller Lite Tap The Future pitch event and received recognition for the product. From 2015 to 2020, they worked as a Creative Programmer at Bold Applause Productions. Sean then transitioned into the field of GIS as a GIS Analyst Intern at Aegean Energy Group, where they conducted site selection analysis, resource assessment, and environmental impact assessments for renewable energy projects. Sean's most recent roles include being a GIS Analyst Intern at Starry, Inc. and a Senior Consultant at Biz English Consulting. Presently, they are employed as a Data Analyst at Regrid.

Sean Parshad completed a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Biology at the University of California, Davis from 2009 to 2013. In 2017, they obtained a certification in Geo-spacial Information from Stanford University. In 2018, they earned a Certified Sustainable Development Professional (CSDP) certification from Earthship Biotecture. In 2020, they obtained a certification in Geographic Information Science, Mapping, and Spatial Analyses from the University of Toronto. From 2021 to 2023, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Geographic Information Science at The University of Queensland. Additionally, they obtained a SQL Certification from Codecademy in December 2021 and a Data Analytics certification from Google in May 2023.
