Chief Engineer at Regulus Cyber

Dror Katalan has extensive work experience in the field of research and development, with a focus on high technology lasers, sensors, and optical fibers. Dror started their career as a Product Manager at Applied Materials in 2003 and later moved on to roles at Rafael Advanced Defense Systems, where they served as a Research and Development Engineer and eventually became the Research and Development Manager. In this role, they managed highly budgeted and resource-intensive projects and collaborated with vendors globally. In 2008, they joined Camtek as a Research and Development Engineer before returning to Rafael Advanced Defense Systems as a Chief Engineer. In this position, they were responsible for strategic initiatives, leading projects, and providing subject matter expertise to senior levels of Systems Engineering. More recently, in 2018, they joined Regulus Cyber as their Chief Engineer, where they were involved in the coordination of research, design, development, analysis, and architecture definition of projects, products, and technologies.

Dror Katalan completed a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Laser Optical and Mechanical Engineering from Technion - Israel Institute of Technology in the years 2000 to 2004. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science (MSc) in Mechanical Engineering- Material Science from the same institute between 2009 and 2014. Prior to these degrees, Dror Katalan obtained a Practical Engineer degree in Electrical, Electronics, and Computer Engineering from Bosmat Technical college established by the Technion in the years 1995 to 1997.
