Paolo Rellini has a diverse work experience spanning several companies. Paolo co-founded Regusto in 2016 and served as the COO, overseeing operations and leading research and development efforts. Regusto focuses on reducing food waste and has been recognized as a European success story by the Barilla Foundation. In 2020, Paolo became a promoter and partner of the committee LAB00 - SpesaSospesa.org at Lab00. Prior to these roles, they worked as a scientific consultant at Umbria Innovazione and as a researcher at the University of Perugia, where they completed a Ph.D. in Agroenvironmental Biotechnology. Paolo also served as the president of MITES srl, a spin-off academic company specializing in information traceability encryption and security.
Paolo Rellini has a strong educational background in the field of biotechnology and agricultural sciences. From 2007 to 2009, they pursued a Dottorato di Ricerca (PhD) in Biotecnologie Agroambientali at the Università degli Studi di Perugia. In 2008, they participated in the International Summer School on Synchrotron Infrared Microspectroscopy at the Synchrotron Light Source ANKA in Karlsruhe Research Center, Germany. Prior to that, from 1997 to 2004, they obtained a Laurea degree from the Università degli Studi di Perugia, specializing in Scienze e Tecnologie Agrarie - Indirizzo Alimentare + Enologia (Agricultural Sciences and Technology - Food and Enology).
