Jay Barr

Jay Barr, PE, is a Senior Project Engineer at REI Engineers, Inc., since December 2009, specializing in asphalt and concrete projects, including the investigation and evaluation of damaged pavements, as well as project budgeting, design, bidding, monitoring, and construction advising. Previously, Jay served as a Project Manager, managing clients' asphalt and concrete assets with responsibilities encompassing evaluation, budgeting, design, bidding, monitoring, and providing closeout documentation. Earlier experience includes tutoring mathematics at Mathnasium, where skills enhancement for various grade levels was a focus, and working as an Engineer-in-Training at Meade Gunnell Engineering & Surveying PC, focused on utility locations and erosion control assessments. Jay earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Virginia Tech, 2002-2007, and holds a high school diploma from PDS.
