John Newman

John Newman is an accomplished architect and project manager with extensive experience in various prestigious firms. Currently serving as the Director of Project Development at Reis Contracting since October 2025, John leads the US National Pre-Construction Services Group and supervises QA/QC and technical support. Prior to this, John was the Director of Operations at Snøhetta from April 2019 to October 2025, managing complex projects including the Ford Central Campus Building and the Blanton Museum of Art. As Principal at Diller Scofidio + Renfro from September 2012 to April 2019, John oversaw significant developments such as Tower D and the Culture Shed in Hudson Yards. Earlier career highlights include being a Partner at Lindsay Newman Architecture and Design, where key projects included the Liberty National Clubhouse and various commercial developments, and roles at Gwathmey Siegel Kaufman & Associates Architects, Skidmore Owings & Merrill LLP, and Frank O. Gehry & Associates. John holds a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from The University of Texas at Austin.
