Nick Darken has had a long and varied career in the creative industry. In 2000, they began their career as an Art Director at Wieden + Kennedy London. Nick then moved on to St. Lukes Communications as a Senior Freelance Art Director in 2003. In 2004, they joined Albion London as a Group Creative Partner and Executive Creative Director, helping to grow the agency from a 5 person team to 90 people, before selling a majority stake to the MDC Group in 2014. In 2016, they became Chief of Brand at Farmdrop, where they led a full brand evolution project. In 2020, they moved to Hunter as a Creative Partner and in 2021 they became VP Creative Director at Zapp, where they built a full service in-house creative team and ran multi-channel advertising campaigns. Currently, Nick is consulting for tech businesses in Europe and the US as a Consultant Brand Creative Director, VP, and Chief of Brand.

Nick Darken completed a Bachelor of Arts in Design at RMIT University from 1991 to 1993. Nick then attended Award School (Sydney) in 1995, though it is unclear if they completed any additional certifications.
