Malte Sandstede

Malte Sandstede has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies. In 2013, they began their career as a Student Trainee at Deutsche Bank, where they worked until 2017. In 2014, they joined Clockworks UG as a Technical Co-Founder & Partner and worked there until 2019. During this time, they also briefly worked as a Software Engineering Consultant at PASS Consulting Group in 2014.

In 2016, Sandstede worked as a Consultant at True North Partners LLP for a few months. In 2018, they joined Oracle Labs as a Research Assistant, where they contributed to the development of large graph visualization concepts. Malte worked there until 2018.

In 2020, Sandstede joined RelationalAI as a Computer Scientist, and later took on the role of System Group Lead. Currently, they serve as the Director of Engineering, Engine at RelationalAI, starting in October 2022.

Malte Sandstede has a diverse education history. Malte completed a Master of Science in Systems Group: Research & Master's Thesis at ETH Zürich in 2019. Prior to that, from 2017 to 2019, they pursued a Master of Science with Honors in Software Engineering as part of the Elite Graduate Program at the Technical University of Munich. Moving further back, in 2013, they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Business Information Technology from the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management. During their time at the Frankfurt School, they also participated in an exchange semester at HEC Montréal in 2015. Additionally, in 2013, they completed a Fachinformatiker für Anwendungsentwicklung (IHK) / IT specialist for application development program offered by Deutsche Bank AG and the Chamber of Industry & Commerce.
