Alyssa Ishigo

Alyssa Ishigo is a Senior Robotics Engineer at Relativity Space, with a background that includes roles as a Robotics Engineer and Additive Intern. Prior experience includes working as a Robotics Intern at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, where Alyssa contributed to the Mars Sample Return mission, optimizing subsystems and creating real-time animations using Matlab. As an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Fluid-Structure Interaction Lab, Alyssa collaborated with architecture students and conducted experiments using Arduino for wind-related projects. Additional internships include research and development at Arrivo, where Alyssa redesigned vehicle brake systems, and a role at Keck Medicine of USC focused on sports impact injury research. Alyssa holds a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Southern California, complemented by a study abroad experience at The University of Edinburgh.
