Jie Lin

Jie Lin is a highly experienced aerospace engineer specializing in flight safety analysis and trajectory at prominent organizations within the aerospace industry. Currently serving as a Staff Trajectory & Flight Safety Analysis Engineer at Relativity Space since August 2023, Jie Lin leads the flight safety program for the Terran R and has developed methodologies for obtaining FAA launch licenses. Prior experience includes roles at Blue Origin as a Flight Safety Analyst, managing safety programs for the New Glenn rocket, and at the United States Space Force, where Jie Lin analyzed debris risks for various launch vehicles. Notable past positions also include working as an Aerospace Engineer and Credentialed Safety Inspector at the Federal Aviation Administration and serving in the United States Air Force, excelling in risk management and structural oversight for national security launches. Jie Lin holds both a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
