Kyle Thompson

Kyle Thompson, PE, is a highly experienced mechanical engineer with a robust background in vehicle mechanisms and product development. Currently serving as a Principal Vehicle Mechanisms Engineer at Relativity Space, Kyle has previously held significant roles at Skillz Inc. as Sr. Principal Mechanical Engineer, Amazon as Senior Mechanical Engineer for Amazon Scout, and Walt Disney Imagineering as R&D Imagineer Sr. Notable contributions include managing engineering departments and projects at Seal Science, Inc., and Quartus Engineering, where extensive skills in vehicle design and non-linear material analysis were developed. Kyle’s early career includes mechanical engineering roles at Technovative Applications and Accuride International, where foundational expertise in finite element analysis and prototyping was gained. Kyle holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona.
