Robert Doty

Robert Doty is a highly experienced aerospace professional currently serving as Principal Launch Engineer at Relativity Space since March 2024, where responsibilities include overseeing transport and recovery for the Terran R vehicle. Prior to this, Robert was President of The Launch Company at Voyager Space from July 2020 to July 2024, managing engineering, operations, and business development, and conducting collaborations with international partners. Robert's extensive background includes roles such as Director of Engineering at Voyager Space, Associate Director at Turner & Townsend, and Lead Recovery Engineer at SpaceX, where significant achievements included leading the first successful recovery of an orbital-class rocket booster at sea. Robert holds a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Brigham Young University - Idaho and a Minor in Biomedical Engineering from Boise State University.
