Umer Khan

Umer Khan is an accomplished technology executive with extensive experience in Information Technology and cybersecurity. Currently serving as Chief Information Officer and Senior Vice President of Software at Relativity Space, Umer leads software engineering initiatives for rocket systems and oversees technology infrastructure, including artificial intelligence and cybersecurity. Previously, Umer held the position of Chief Information & Security Officer at MaxLinear, where the focus was on building robust IT infrastructure and security for a major semiconductor firm. At SpaceX, Umer was Vice President of Information Technology and Security, managing technology and cybersecurity for critical launch operations. Umer's career includes significant roles at Broadcom Inc. and Rockwell Electronic Commerce Corporation, along with foundational experience as a UNIX/Windows Systems Administrator at Charles Industries, Ltd. Umer holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Pennsylvania and a Master of Science in Information Security Engineering from SANS Technology Institute, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology.
