Sam Breen is the Chief Compliance Officer at Relativity6. Sam was previously the Data Privacy Consultant at IBM from July 2021 to December 2021. Sam consulted on information privacy compliance matters in support of the spin-off of IBM’s managed services infrastructure business, GTS. From October 2018 to September 2019, they were a Visiting Fellow at the National Health Law Program where they authored and contributed to numerous policy papers and technical assistance documents for use by state and local governments throughout the US. From August 2017 to July 2021, they were the General Counsel & Chief Privacy Officer at Relativity6, an artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) data analytics company. Sam lead a team of tech transactions contract professionals and worked hand-in-hand with the Chief Product Officer and Chief Technology Officer to build a best-in-class, privacy & security by design AI and ML data analytics platform and suite of products. Sam was the primary liaison with outside council on all matters pertaining to venture capital financing.

Sam Breen has a JD from Suffolk University Law School in Health & Biomedical Law, as well as a BFA & BA from UMass Boston in Studio Art & English Literature. They also have certification from the IAPP - International Association of Privacy Professionals in CIPP/E and from OneTrust in Privacy Professional, as well as certification from the Massachusetts Board of Bar Overseers in Bar Admission - Massachusetts.
