Aaron Bason

Aaron Bason has a diverse work experience in the fields of financial planning and analysis (FP&A) and taxation. Aaron started their career as a Financial Representative at Northwestern Mutual in 2013. In 2014, they worked as a Tax Accountant at Bason & Co. and later at Bandwidth.com, where they implemented a long-term solution for tax certificate management and collaborated with the legal team on major lawsuits.

From 2017 to 2021, Bason joined Republic Wireless, initially as a Financial Analyst responsible for creating and maintaining a comprehensive financial model covering all aspects of the company's functions. Aaron played a crucial role in optimizing the cost of goods sold (COGS) and revenue planning, ensuring forecast accuracy of $60 million in annual revenue. Aaron also assisted with strategic planning, negotiation of rates and contract structures, and the development of business intelligence dashboards. Additionally, Bason contributed to OpEx planning, accounting processes, and optimizing carrier COGS to improve unit economics.

Currently, Bason works at Relay as the FP&A Director, where they oversee financial planning and analysis for the organization. Prior to this role, they were the Senior Manager FP&A at Relay, responsible for financial planning and analysis functions.

Aaron Bason earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Finance from North Carolina State University. Aaron attended the university from 2008 to 2013.
