Travis Morton

Travis Morton has over 9 years of work experience in the technology industry. In 2011, they worked as a Researcher at North Carolina State University, where they used density functional theory to computationally explore quantum mechanical properties of compounds used in the separation of nuclear waste. In 2015, they worked as a DevOps Engineer at Bandwidth Inc., where they automated deployment of internal tools and production applications using Puppet and Ansible. From 2016 to 2020, they worked at Republic Wireless, first as a Site Reliability Engineer, where they supported a production environment of VOIP and messaging services, and then as a Machine Learning Engineer, where they developed data-driven applications to improve quality of service and uptime. Currently, they are a Senior Machine Learning Engineer and Senior Site Reliability Engineer at Relay, where they support a distributed production system running on AWS and GCP and has automated deployments and implemented monitoring of services to ensure uptime.

Travis Morton attended North Carolina State University from 2011 to 2015 and obtained a Bachelor of Science in Physics.
