Chad Smith

Chad Smith, CISSP, serves as a Network and Infrastructure Information Security Specialist at Matrix Absence Management since August 2018, contributing to the company's Compliance and Security Team by enhancing policies and protecting customer information. Previously, Chad held several positions within the Arizona Department of Revenue from September 2007 to August 2018, culminating as Infrastructure Architect, overseeing enterprise-wide infrastructure for 1,200 agency users and securing the collection of $14 billion in tax revenue annually. Chad's earlier experience includes roles as a Unix System Administrator at Cable ONE, Unix Administrator at EWA Services, and adjunct faculty at Estrella Mountain Community College, where teaching Linux Administration was a focus. Chad holds a Bachelor of Computer Science in Data Communications from Utah Valley University, earned between 1998 and 2002.
