Brian T. Atkinson

Brian T. Atkinson is an accomplished author and co-owner active in multiple creative ventures. Currently serving as an author for "Always Chasing the Sun: The Songwriting Legacy of Judee Sill" at Texas A&M University Press, Brian also co-owns BarnWood Recording Studio, Cheatham Street Woodshed, Burgundy Red Films, Squeaky String Productions, and Eight 30 Records. Notable clients at Cheatham Street Woodshed include renowned artists such as Hayes Carll and James McMurtry. Additionally, Brian contributes to CMT.com and the Austin American-Statesman, writing specifically about Americana music, while also maintaining a long-term role as a writer for Texas Music magazine since 2007.
