Chip Steppacher has a diverse and extensive work experience in the financial industry. Chip has held leadership roles in various companies, showcasing their expertise in finance and management.
From 2019 to the present, Chip has been the Chief Financial Officer at Rellevate, a Fintech Startup, where they oversee financial management and capital raising activities. Chip has successfully completed three financing transactions with early stage Venture Funds and Family offices.
Prior to that, from 2018 to 2019, they worked as a Director at CFO Consulting Partners, a consulting firm specializing in financial management services. In this role, Chip provided senior financial executive support to Fintech, Commercial Banks, Hedge Funds, and Asset Management companies.
From 2008 to 2018, Chip served as a Managing Director at JPMorgan Chase & Co. During this time, they held two different positions. From 2013 to 2018, they led a team responsible for regulatory strategy, capital governance processes, and regulatory interaction in relation to Capital Stress Testing and Basel Capital matters. From 2008 to 2013, they were responsible for business management, product control, financial control, and planning & analysis for all Commodities products globally.
Before joining JPMorgan Chase, Chip worked at Bear Stearns & Co. from 1994 to 2008. Here, they held the position of Senior Managing Director and Assistant Corporate Controller. Chip played a key role in establishing the energy trading operation in Houston and had expertise in various product markets.
Chip first entered the finance industry in 1988 as a Vice President at Bankers Trust Company. Chip served as the CFO for Latin America, overseeing the establishment of trading capabilities in Chile, Argentina, and Brazil. Chip also worked as the COO for Japan, where they built a new Japanese Corporate Finance and M&A businesses along with local fixed income and equity trading and brokerage capabilities.
