Gary Saunders

Gary Saunders is a Senior Program Manager at RELX, dedicated to advancing healthcare and translational medicine. With a PhD in Genetics from the University of Glasgow, Gary previously served as a Human Data Coordinator at ELIXIR, where they led initiatives in human genetics and coordinated several European working groups. At the Wellcome Sanger Institute, they contributed significantly to the GENCODE project as a Senior Computer Biologist, enhancing genomic annotation resources. Their leadership continued at EATRIS as both Data Director and as Director of Digital Transformation, where they shaped strategic directions and managed teams while focusing on innovative solutions in translational medicine.
