Marilena Zigka is an accomplished intern and researcher with diverse experience in legislative and journalistic settings. Currently serving as a Legislative Intern for the U.S. House of Representatives and a Newsroom and Reporting Intern at Kathimerini, Marilena has also contributed as a College Advisor, Undergraduate Fellow, and Research Assistant at Princeton University since 2020. With additional roles in research at International IDEA, Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München, and the Technical University of Munich, Marilena's background includes prior internships at the Center for Research on Democracy & Law and the Burnes Center on Poverty and Homelessness. Notably, Marilena began a research assistantship as a student at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard. Marilena holds an International Baccalaureate from Anatolia College and participated in a Summer Science and Engineering Program at Smith College focusing on neuroscience and bioethics.
