Simon Thompson

Simon Thompson is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in various leadership roles within prestigious organizations. Currently serving as Group Financial Controller at RELX since March 2025, Simon previously held multiple positions at Elsevier from November 2014 to March 2025, including Finance Director for Research and Research Solutions Sales. Prior to that, Simon worked as Group Finance Manager at Reed Elsevier from December 2010 to November 2014 and as a Director at Deloitte from September 1997 to December 2010. Simon holds a Master of Arts degree in Modern History from the University of Oxford, earned between 1994 and 1997.
