James Saunders is an experienced technology professional with a strong background in software engineering and entrepreneurship. As the Founder and CTO of RelyComply since January 2020, James has developed an Anti-Money Laundering (AML) platform focused on compliance automation and risk management. Prior to this, James founded Business Optics in November 2011, creating a decision support system that enhances business modeling and problem-solving. James has also held positions at Orfeo and Ndibano, where responsibilities included developing knowledge management systems and Bayesian reasoning applications, respectively. Additional experience includes consulting for Raqtan Group and serving as Director/Software Engineer at Valency IT Solutions. James's academic credentials include a BSc (Hons) in Mathematics of Computer Science and a BSc in Pure Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Cape Town.
