Raz Vakil is an accomplished professional in the field of artificial intelligence and machine learning, currently serving as the Head of Artificial Intelligence at Remepy since June 2025. Prior to this role, Raz held various positions at Taboola from January 2014 to June 2025, including Algorithms Group Manager, where management of a 15-person algorithms group focused on optimizing algorithmic performance, and Algorithms Team Lead, overseeing a team of data scientists working on content recommendations. Raz began career as an Algorithms Developer at Taboola and previously contributed as an Algorithm Developer at XTR and a Senior Software Developer at Dell. Early experience includes serving as a Cryptographer in the Israel Defense Forces. Raz holds a PhD in Applied Mathematics from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem and a Master’s degree in Applied Mathematics from Bar-Ilan University.
