Bruno Reis

Bruno Reis has worked as a software engineer since 2008. Bruno began their career at Poliedro – FNDE/MEC as a Software Architect, where they established the initial PHP architecture. In 2009, they moved to Gradua Networks as a Project Manager and Software Architect, where they rewrote the website using PHP and Symfony framework. In 2011, they co-founded Mapa da Prova, where they served as CEO for three years and helped with the tech stack using RoR, Mongo and BackboneJS. Bruno also raised Brazilian "angel" capital and had over 500K customers with 1K active customers on the second year. In 2012, they worked as a Project Manager at Newuald Tecnologia. In 2014, they moved to Scalable Path as a Senior Developer and Technical Lead, where they were responsible for the reconstruction of the core app of the management system. In 2017, they worked as a Full Stack Engineer at Reis Tecnologia, where they prototyped an app to control and make financial projections/business analysis of agroforestry production systems. In 2018, they returned to Scalable Path as a Senior Developer, where they were responsible for two client projects. In 2019, they moved to ShipHero as a Senior Frontend Developer, where they initially helped on interviewing and hiring new FE developers, refactoring and improving patterns to the mobile React Native app, building new functionality for the mobile app, and refactoring and improving patterns to the web app. Bruno then took care of the frontend architecture in the pursuit of increasing the quality of the overall FE development process. In 2021, they moved to Scalable Path again as a Senior Software Engineer, where they were responsible for the development of the internal tools of the company, that manages the triage, vetting, hiring and allocation of developers into the company's clients. Bruno recently launched a complete redesign of the marketing site integrating different data sources into static generated pages using a Next app. In 2022, they moved to Remind as a Senior Software Engineer.

Bruno Reis obtained a Bachelor degree in Fine Arts from UnB, Universidade de Brasília between 1995 and 2001. Bruno then went on to obtain an MBA in Management of Information Systems from Universidade Católica de Brasília in 2006. In 2017, they obtained a Certified Scrum Master certification from the Scrum Alliance.
