Chris Spalding

Chris Spalding is a Senior Software Engineer currently employed at Remitly since November 2023, having previously held the same title at Flexe from January 2019 to November 2023. At Flexe, Chris led significant initiatives, including the development of software for secure user data storage and the implementation of a self-hosted feature flagging solution. Prior to Flexe, Chris worked as a Software Engineer at Avvo, focusing on back-end development and microservices in Ruby and Elixir, and at Hitachi Consulting, where responsibilities included full-stack web development and client consulting. Chris began a career in technology as a Computer Science Tutor and Summer Academic Challenge TA at the University of Puget Sound, where mathematical and computer science foundations were emphasized. Chris earned a B.S. in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Puget Sound in 2015.
