Dean H. Saxe

Dean H. Saxe is an accomplished security professional with extensive experience in identity and access management. Currently serving as a Principal Security Engineer at Remitly since September 2025, Saxe also holds leadership roles as Co-Chair of the Interoperability Profiling for Secure Identity in the Enterprise Work Group and the Death & The Digital Estate Community Group at the OpenID Foundation. Previous positions include Principal Engineer in the Office of the CTO at Beyond Identity and Senior Security Engineer at Amazon Web Services. Saxe has been actively involved in the FIDO Alliance as Co-chair of the Enterprise Deployment Working Group, contributing to the development of FIDO-based authentication solutions. Prior roles include expertise in information security at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and Foundstone, focusing on secure software development and web application security. Saxe's educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from The Johns Hopkins University.
