Gene Nigro is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in business development, marketing, and strategic planning within the fintech and international markets. Currently serving as VP of Global Business Development at Remitly since 2017, Gene oversees initiatives to expand the company’s global presence, leading negotiations and product launches in over 83 countries. Prior roles include VP of Corporate Development at Xoom, where Gene identified and developed international partnerships, and Business Development & Marketing Coordinator at Sigue Corporation, focusing on revenue growth in Latin America. Gene's career also includes significant positions at UNO Financial Group, Western Union, McCormick, The Walt Disney Company, and the U.S. Department of State, where skills in strategy execution and marketing leadership were honed. Gene holds multiple degrees, including an M.A. in International Relations from the University of Delaware.
