Gunnar Gissel

Gunnar Gissel is a seasoned software developer with extensive experience in both application development and patent examination. Currently serving as a Senior Software Developer at Remitly since November 2018, Gunnar previously held the role of Applications Developer at NOAA from August 2009 to November 2018, where responsibilities included building and maintaining an electronic logbook for the Alaska Fisheries Region. Prior to that, Gunnar worked as a Patent Examiner at the USPTO from May 2007 to August 2009, specializing in Measuring and Testing devices. Gunnar's career began at Carnegie Mellon University as a Database Coordinator, maintaining internship databases for the Mellon College of Science.
