MYD is a seasoned security professional and currently serves as Senior Manager of Security Engineering at Remitly, leading teams focused on enterprise security, customer security, and security enablement. Previously, they held significant roles such as Principal Enterprise Security Engineer at Remitly and Senior Security Engineer at Coinbase and GitLab Inc. MYD's diverse background includes experience as a Software Developer at Hootsuite and one45 Software, as well as roles in accessibility and quality assurance at SAP and Atimi Software. They are also an avid tech enthusiast with a passion for coffee, Nerf blasters, and biking, and have developed several side projects, including the AzZahraa app and the Ryan productivity chrome extension. MYD is pursuing a degree in Cognitive Systems in Computational Design and Intelligence, Computer Science at the University of British Columbia.
