Remote Backup Systems sells software for Online Backup Services. Our Partners are mostly MSPs and outsourced computer support companies who want to offer a turnkey, branded, self-hosted Online Backup service to their end users. Remote Backup Systems is by far the oldest online backup company in the world. The company's founder Rob Cosgrove coined the now-popular term "remote backup," and defined the technical protocol that is now used as the standard for moving backups of data files around the Internet. With thousands of service providers and millions of end-users across 63 countries, RBackup is the single most widely-used online backup application on the market.

With their own self-hosted software they can provide a much more robust level of service, retaining all the profit instead of simply reselling another cloud backup service and taking a small commission. A self-hosted Online Backup service increases customer retention and satisfaction.

Our Partners purchase or lease software from us , install it in their own data center or Cloud, brand it, and offer Online Backup services. They store their customers' backups themselves, and completely "own" the service, charging what they want, and with no mandatory ongoing payments to RBS.
