Barbara Matthews

Barbara Matthews is an experienced human resources professional with a diverse background in various leadership roles. As Chief People Officer at Remote, Barbara has advanced strategic HR initiatives. Previously, Barbara served as International Head of HR for EMEA & APAC at Stripe and held multiple positions at Google, including HR Business Partner for Google For Work and Global People Programs Manager. Earlier career experiences include serving as Staff Trainer and HR Assistant at Super Value. Barbara holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Personnel Practice from the National College of Ireland and a Bachelor of Social Science in Sociology and Social Policy from University College Dublin.
