Simone D'Avico

Simone D'Avico is an accomplished backend engineer with extensive experience in the fintech and software development sectors. Currently serving as a Senior Backend Engineer II at Remote since June 2023, Simone previously held senior and lead engineering positions at Casavo, where key contributions included developing a custom rule engine for profitability estimations and leading the creation of a design system adopted across internal teams. Earlier roles included software development leadership at WellD, where project lifecycle management was emphasized, and research assistance at USI Università della Svizzera italiana. Simone began a career in software development as an intern at HUGO BOSS, focusing on business process automation. Holding both a Master’s and Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology from USI, Simone possesses a strong foundation in technology and agile methodologies.
