Ruben Brands

Ruben Brands is an accomplished entrepreneur and leader with extensive experience in the climate tech sector. As the Founder and CEO of SeaO2 since November 2021, Ruben focuses on developing cost-efficient, scalable technology for direct ocean capture of carbon dioxide. Ruben has also participated in various accelerator programs, including the Remove Accelerator and ClimAccelerator, and has held roles such as Treasurer at Kibet4Kids Foundation and Innovation Coach at Rabobank. Previously, Ruben served as a Venture Builder at oneUp and as Startup Acceleration Manager at UtrechtInc, responsible for supporting technology startups. Ruben’s academic credentials include a Bachelor of Business Administration from Rotterdam School of Management, a Master of Laws in Corporate Law from the University of Amsterdam, and full stack development training from Le Wagon.
