Marcus Smurda has a diverse work experience spanning over many years. Marcus started their career in 2002 as a Part-Time Physical Therapist at St. Luke's Hospital and eventually became the Clinic Manager for the Allentown Outpatient office. In 2005, they became the President, COO, CFO, and Senior Physical Therapist at Northwestern Physical Therapy until 2017. From 2002 to 2019, they also worked as the Rehab Manager of Home Health at St. Luke's University Health Network, where they managed a team of clinicians and developed revenue sources.

In 2019, Marcus joined Lehigh Valley Health Network as a Program Specialist, where they played a key role in developing and updating rehabilitation service lines and improving marketing strategies. Marcus achieved a significant increase in patient volume during their tenure.

After that, they held the positions of Director of Business Development at Sacred Heart PT and Rehab and Sales Executive at Vital-e Health in 2020. In 2021, they worked as a Sales Representative at Zimmer Biomet, providing sales support and education on various medical products. Marcus also worked as a Co-Owner at Go! Tattoo Removal, where they were responsible for operations, clinical management, budgeting, and forecasting. The company was later acquired by Removery, where Marcus assumed the role of Director of Strategic Partnerships in September 2021.

Marcus Smurda earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology/Pre-PT from Arcadia University from 1995 to 1999. Marcus then pursued a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree at Arcadia University from 1999 to 2002. Later, from 2013 to 2017, Marcus pursued a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in Business Administration and Management, General at the Lehigh University College of Business.
