Dr Jo Dennison has a diverse and comprehensive work experience in the field of psychology. Dr Jo is currently the Founder and CEO of Ren, a company they established in 2021. Previously, in 2013, they founded Dennison Psychology, an award-winning private psychology practice located in Melbourne, Australia. As the Founder, Director, and Principal Psychologist of Dennison Psychology, they provided therapy to individuals and couples while also managing a team of psychologists. Additionally, the practice held a contract with an international private health insurer and provided clinical trainings and supervision to other organizations.
From 2019 to 2022, Dr Dennison worked at VicRoads as an Advisor and Independent Auditor. Dr Jo then held various roles at the Australian Psychological Society (APS) College of Counselling Psychologists from 2013 to 2019, including Chair (VIC), National Executive Board Member, and Chair Elect (VIC).
In 2015, they served as a Consulting Psychologist at BAKER IDI HEART AND DIABETES INSTITUTE HOLDINGS LIMITED. Prior to that, they worked as a Research Psychologist at Monash University from 2013 to 2014, providing clinical treatment to participants in the Problem Gambling Research Study.
Their earlier experience includes roles as a Coordinator, Supervisor, and Senior Psychologist at Caraniche from 2009 to 2013, and as a Relationship Therapist at Relationships Australia Victoria in 2011.

Additionally, they have pursued further education in strategy, governance, and finance at the Australian Institute of Company Directors. In 2021, they participated in the Williamson Leadership Program offered by Leadership Victoria. Dr Dennison also holds various certifications, including being an Associate Member of the EMDR Association of Australia, having accreditation as a facilitator for the Bringing Up Great Kids and Circle of Security parenting programs, and being a Clinical Supervisor and Registered Psychologist with the Australia Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
