Joel Thomas

Joel Thomas is a seasoned product management professional with extensive experience in the education sector. Currently serving as the Director of Product Management at Renaissance Learning, a position held since January 2025, Joel previously held similar roles at Houghton Mifflin Harcourt and NWEA, demonstrating a strong expertise in product strategy and development. Earlier in career, Joel contributed as a Senior Product Manager at Rubicon International and engaged in curriculum consulting, where the development of Pleiades was managed. Joel is an alumnus and former Corps Member of Teach for America, participating in a national service corps from May 2009 to June 2012. Joel holds a Master's degree in Teaching from Marian University and a Bachelor's degree in English and Political Science from Olivet Nazarene University.
