Melanie D.

Melanie D. is an experienced educator and professional development specialist with a robust background in educational settings. Currently serving as the Planning and Scheduling Coordinator II at Renaissance Learning since October 2022, Melanie previously worked as a Professional Learning Specialist at Amplify, where high-quality professional development in math and science was delivered both remotely and in-person. Prior experience includes a teaching role at Fairfax County Public Schools from August 2016 to June 2022, where high-quality instruction and feedback were provided, alongside the management of technology platforms for learners and parents, and a leadership role as team lead and math lead. Earlier career experience includes teaching at Carroll County Public Schools from August 1993 to October 2005. Melanie holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education and Teaching from Elon University, obtained in May 1993.
