Patrick McDonagh

Patrick McDonagh is an accomplished IT professional with extensive experience in engineering and risk systems. Currently serving as AVP and IT Lead for Engineering in Risk Systems at RenaissanceRe since July 2018, Patrick previously held roles including Self-Reliable Systems Architect at Nokia and Postdoctoral Researcher at Lero. Research efforts focused on video quality analysis and IPTV service monitoring, culminating in a Ph.D. in Computer Science from University College Dublin. Additional experience includes a visiting researcher position at UC Davis under Professor Prasant Mohapatra and an internship with IBM Tivoli Software. Patrick holds a B.Sc. in Computer Science from University College Dublin, further enriching a solid educational foundation in the field.
