Sonia Achard currently serves as the Industrial Projects Director for Korea and the CMFA platform at Renault Group since October 2025. Previously, Sonia held various leadership roles within Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi from 2015 to 2018, including Upstream Strategic Team Leader for Body Plastics, where responsibilities included managing multidisciplinary teams and sourcing plastics for several automotive brands. Notably, Sonia also worked as Strategy & Performance Deputy General Manager in Materials Engineering and as Plastic Injection Deputy General Manager. Earlier experience with Renault from 2004 to 2008 included roles as R&D Engineer and R&D Manager in the Materials Department, focusing on team structure and talent development. Additional education includes a Master of Science in Ceramics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a Master's degree in Materials Sciences from Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Mines de Nancy. Sonia furthered professional development with an Executive Development program at CEDEP in 2021.
