Renegade is a lighting and production design studio based in London and New York, founded in 2005 and led by designer and creative director Nick Gray.

The studio operates across multiple creative industries, including fashion, music, architecture, and visual arts, with a strong focus on innovative technical and aesthetic solutions drawn from diverse disciplines. Renegade’s work spans complex site-specific installations, highly produced shows, live music designs, and bespoke brand experiences.

In 2025, Ezra Donellan joined Renegade as partner and designer. Leading operations in NYC and across the U.S., he brings over two decades of experience creating bold lighting concepts for global tours, fashion shows, and large-scale events.

Seamlessly developing and executing projects across varied industries, the studio has established a unique set of visual codes and a distinctive design approach, centred on a holistic understanding and integration of different creative languages.

Renegade is renowned for shaping light with both scenic and architectural sensibilities, combining high design and in-depth technical knowledge. The experience of space and the synergetic dialogue between lighting, environment, and human perception lie at the core of the studio’s creative process and exploration.
