Richard Törnblom has held a variety of roles in the business world since 2016. Starting in 2016, they were the Business Angel for Sting - Stockholm Innovation & Growth. In 2017, they were the Business Development for Re:newcell and Board Member for Visit Sweden. In 2019, they were the Board Member for Svegro and Industrial Sustainability Advisor for Activeinvest AB. In 2020, they were the Chairman of the Board for BVD. In 2021, they were the Chairman of the Board for Atmoz AB, Strategic Advisor for The Fit, and Evaluator for Vinnova. Richard is currently the CEO of BluePearl AB - accelerating sustainable innovations.

Richard Törnblom began their educational career in 1982 when they attended Sigrid Rudebecks Gymnasium in Gothenburg and obtained a Natural Sciences degree in 1986. Richard then attended Berga Örlogskola in Sweden and obtained a Company Commander degree in 1987. From 1988 to 1992, they attended the Stockholm School of Economics and obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Marketing, Finance & Accounting. In 1991, they attended McGill University and obtained a Major in Marketing. In 2017, they attended Stockholm University and studied Ecology of the World (Världens Ekologi) at the Stockholm Resilience Centre. In 2018, they completed their studies there.
