Aaron Morton

Aaron Morton is a Technical Leader at DataStax since March 2020, focusing on Developer and Operator Experience. Previously, Morton held leadership positions as Field CTO and Vice President of Engineering for Global Services and AI Ops at DataStax, contributing to the company's mission to enhance Apache Cassandra's capabilities. Additionally, Morton serves as an advisor to rENIAC on FPGA acceleration for Apache Cassandra, Baffle, Inc. on data breach prevention, and Datos.io for scalable data protection. Morton's earlier career includes roles as CEO of The Last Pickle, and various positions as a developer and engineer in companies like Weta Digital, NeoWorks, BBC News Interactive, and Arabis Business Solutions. Morton is also an Apache Cassandra Committer and holds a BSc degree from Monash University.
