Chris Bird is a Lead Embedded Software Engineer with ten years of R&D experience in the technology sector. Chris began their career as a Graduate Electronics Engineer and later worked at the Bristol Robotics Lab as a Robotics Developer before moving to Dyson, where they held multiple roles, including Advanced Firmware Engineer and Associate Principal Embedded Software Engineer. In these positions, Chris led the development of real-time embedded systems for robotics platforms and engaged in product ownership. Currently, Chris is continuing their work at Renishaw as a Lead Embedded Software Engineer. They earned a Bachelor’s of Engineering (Hons) in Robotics from the University of the West of England, graduating with first-class honors.
